New to NTBC?

Visiting a church for the first time can be a scary experience!

But when it comes to NTBC, you can relax…

First, none of us “have it all together”—that’s probably why we make such a close family, because we’re all sort of “limping through life” and growing in grace.

Second, we’re not evaluating you—when you walk in, we’re glad to see you!  Don’t worry about having to “measure up” or “fit in.” None of us really measure up, and we’re all very different. Our family is very diverse, so fitting in isn’t an issue.

Third, we’re not really very religious—sounds strange coming from a “church.”  Honestly, religion has let a lot of people down. Religious structures and systems are confusing and complicated—and disconnected from real life. We would love to help you move from “religion” into an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Fourth, we speak plain English—we worship Jesus, we believe and study the Bible, we encourage each other—and we do it all in terms you’ll understand and be able to connect to your everyday struggles in life.

Fifth, we believe and teach what the Bible actually says and why it matters— No pointless tradition, no archaic languages, no “droning” irrelevant lectures, no pious arrogance. We open the Bible and apply it to real life in the 21st century—and it makes a BIG difference!

Finally, we really are just regular, friendly people—“Religious” people often come off contrived, artificial, and argumentative. You won’t find that at NTBC. We’re like you—working hard, exhausted, trying to make ends meet, fighting for healthy relationships, trying to make sense of a “hopeless” culture, looking for encouragement, and glad to have some good friends who also have faith in Jesus Christ.

What can you expect at NTBC

Visitors are always welcome here at our church.  As soon as you walk up to our door you will be greeted by a smiling face that will be thrilled to see you. As soon as you walk through the door, you will find our welcome center staffed by those who will answer any questions you may have and take you to the exact place you need to go. Also, be sure to take advantage of our nursery, that will be staffed with wonderful ladies who will be thrilled to watch your child so you can focus on the service.

Most adults attend worship service where they enjoy inspiring music followed by an encouraging, challenging and biblical message from our Pastor.  We would like to encourage you to join us for our 9:45am Sunday School Classes. A great way to learn more about God’s Word!  We offer Adult Classes as well as various Classes for the Children.

What about my children and teenagers?

Starting with an excellent nursery through senior high, there is something special for every age child and teen. At every service, there is a safe, clean, and highly staffed nursery. For children three years old through 12th grade, there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. Children and teens from 7th – 12th grade attends their class and then worship service with their parents.

What should I wear?

There is not a dress code at NTBC for our guests. Our ministry leaders and church family typically dress in a more “traditional Sunday dress”; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and ready to concentrate on the message during your visit!

Am I expected to participate in the Offering?

No. We don’t invite you to NTBC for your offering. You are our guest, we want to serve you during your visit!  We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
